I am relieved that Jay Jacobs didnt draw this out very long. I was afraid that he would wait till after the SEC tourney. What ever the decision was there was no point in making Lebo wait for an answer. I am wondering whether Jay Jacobs actually made the decision or whether the trustees did. Anyways Coach Lebo was a great guy and represented Auburn with class, but it had to be done. Good luck to Lebo in the future and as always...

I agree that if it was going to happen then it needed to be done quickly. Only time will tell if it was a good decision though. If Jacobs does not make the right hire then it will be a terrible decision. Unfortunately Lebo wasn't going to do anything for the program that he hadn't already done. It won't be easy but Jacobs needs to make a big splash with this hire. At least the new arena will be attractive to some coaches that might not have considered AU without it. It definitely shows a renewed commitment. WDE!
