How stupid are the Steinbrenner brothers?.  Jeter is the epitomy of a NY Yankee.  I could never imagine him in anything but pinstripes.  Surely they will change their mind after the outpouring of hate from Yankee fans.

OK guys you know I'm a huge Yankee fan and love Jeter just as much as Joe, Mickey and all the other great Yankees but they did offer Jeter 3 yrs at $45 mil. He made $21 mil. last year and batted 270 with 10 HR and his defense is awful. His 36 years old. I'm sorry but $15/yr for those stats is pretty damn good to me. I just hope everything can be worked out.
