There still is. We can still win the west. If Ole Miss and LSU wins, Auburn would be in a five way tie for the west. I have no idea how the tiebreaker would go though

After looking through everything, here's where we stand. No matter what, an Ole Miss win helps us. If MSU wins, we don't end up in a tie for the West crown, but we end up as the 6th seed in the tournament. If MSU loses, we end up in a 5 way tie, and at best with the 7th seed in the tourney.

Personally, I'm now cheering for MSU

Would be better to be 7th seed than 6th. Sixth plays third, either vandy or Fla where seventh gets to play the west winner who is bound to be a weak team regardless of who it is

SEC officiating is as bad in baseball as it is in football or basketball. The blue in the SC/turd game would call a pitch belt high right down the middle a ball every time. That is no lie! The blue in the OM/ARKY game just wants it within 8 inches of the plate. Absolutely ridiculous on both ends!

Arky just took lead 4-3 on the most bizarre set of circumstances you will ever see. With one out the blue in the field calls a balk on the pitcher, that wasn't one. on a fly ball that was caught and then the runner was doubled up. The balk call took away the out and then moved the runners to 2nd and 3rd. They scored both and are still batting with the lead.

Of course, in the last SEC game of the year, in a game that has huge implications in the postseason, the umps take it upon themselves to decide the outcome. Why not, they've set the tone of the season with their terrible calls

Going to 7th. Arky 5-3.

P.S. The day started out great as far as things falling into place. The last few hours it has gone to the dogs for us.

They replayed it 3 times. I know a tad about the game and didn't see a balk. The announcers were dumbfounded as well by the call.

Yup. Story of our year it seems...

As for the balk, to call a balk at all, unless it is blatantly obvious, deep in a game is just bad sportsmanship by the umpires. And the call itself is a judgement call in the first place
