Bates is moving back to safety?  I've seen it mentioned a few times here, but didn't know if there was anything substantial to it.  I guess it would ultimately be up to CBVG after he does player evaluations(??)  I wouldn't mind seeing it myself.

I don't know if it is more than speculation or has some validity, but I know one thing. If it were to happen, I would almost feel sorry for any WR that would run a crossing pattern into his area now.

I believe that it is speculation for the time being, but given CBVG's recent comments it seems logical that they would strongly consider making that move.

Who do we have that you know can beat him out at LB? The last couple of games he seemed to be more solid.

If there is a position that needs some consistancy and experience, I would think it would be at LB.

I wonder....CBV has stated the desire for bigger LB's but D. Bates has the expirence.  I would guess speculation at this point.

I don't know, but I wouldn't be surprised if Kris Frost and Jawara White are starting at OLB this year.

I think it is speculation based on CBVG using Thomas Davis and Greg Blue at safety when he was at UGA. Both were big physical in the box SS at UGA and Bates has a similar skill set.
