There was an increase from the 1960s into the 1990s, but the peak of mass killings was in 1929. It was surprising to me: http://news.yahoo.co...-185700637.html I thought this was interesting with all the posts from both sides of gun control and the (can't think of the correct adjective) posts blaming this on prayer (or a lack thereof).
