Greatest Iron Bowl Hero of All Time

As many of you know, Corporal Kyle Carptener was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor last Thursday for heroic actions in Afghanistan when he used his body to shield a grenade blast and save his fellow Marine's life. (would have posted this earlier, but my internet was down). What you may not know is that Kyle was in attendance at the 2011 Iron Bowl. He was presenting the pull up challenge award to Auburn for beating Alabama. Here are the pictures from that day. I can't think of another person to ever stand on Pat Dye Field or the field at Bryan Denny who deserves more honor and recognition.

The guy did all that, suffered terrible life changing wounds, and retired as a Corporal E-4. The Marines should have made him at least a Sergeant E-5 before he was discharged............ He deserves that and more.
