how many believe that Saban will actually pass up the chance to go to the 'Fins, having full control of that team and a 5mil a year deal, to stay with LSU? <_< not me... i believe he'll be on the next jet out of there

I'm sure he loves the program, but the ONLY thing that would probably keep him in Baton Rouge is his family...otherwise it's more than likely, adios amigos.... :au:

Nick's going to be singing:

"Cuz I am leaving on a jetplane

Don't know when I'll be back again

Oh babe, I hate to go...

But all my bags are packed and I'm ready to go

I'm standin here outside your door

I hate to wake you up to say goodbye

The dawn is breaking it's early morn'

Huizenga's waiting, he's blowing his horn

I'll leave you so lonely, you could die..."

Or, he'll sing...

"Sell me a ticket for an aeroplane

ain't got time to take a fast train

Corndog days are gone, I'm a going south

Huizenga, he wrote me a big check."

Nope, it's a bastardized version of the old Eva Cassidy song.

It was also parodied by Dr Dave in "Vanna, pick me a letter."

It is a done deal from everything I've heard on the radio, but who knows.

Last night on the espn radio pre game show boomer esaison was on. He had played golf earlier in the day with Dan Marino and said that it was beyond a done deal. They just had to get the minority interview out of the way. Tonight on SST they said it is a six year 36 million dollar guaranteed contract. There are gonna be ALOT of people with egg on their face if he turns it down, but I just don't see it happening. He has left everyone twisting too long to stay.

He would have to coach at lsu for around 15 years to make the money he will make with the fins in six. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know, it ain't about the money lol. It's all about his dream (rolls eyes). I'm sure he would be pursuing his dream if the fins paid less than lsu  .

I liked the Joe Cocker version.

I don't think it is about the money. He has always wanted to coach in the NFL, he was just waiting for the right opportunity and the right team. The opportunity has come.

If it's not about the money then why are the fins offering him so damn much of it??????? I mean if I were them I would lowball if the money had nothing to do with it  . Yeah, he's got a dream blah blah blah. Obviously, money isn't the only factor, but it is a freaking huge one. Anyone who denies it is kidding himself.

PT knows that Saban doesn't know! That's a scoop. Uh, PT, do you know what I don't know also?? *grin* (Yes, I know I left myself wide open, but I just gotta test his omniscience.)

Chicago didn't get him last season b/c they wouldn't give him any GM-type power. The dolphins are giving him lots of power. Several ESPN 'insiders' say that is what's going to put his name on the dotted line.
