Ballgame in Auburn tonight ....doesn't mean anything ....unless they were to lose.

Robbie Clements pitching.....and got a 6-1 stake as the 4th inning gets underway.

Some of the reserves getting some playing time tonight.

Morehead comes in with 33-18 and is a good transition game from the bama series to the UF weekend coming up in Gainesville.

Clements not fooling may hitters tonight but making his way through the line-up. Could be around another inning or so and then a few other guys get a chance on the mound.

So...inning comes to a close wit AU coming to bat in the bottom of the 4th leading 6-1

Burgreen starting tonight...batting as lead-off.

JMO but might be some shake-up in the line-up against UF...need something to get more pop into the line-up.....mostly once we get past Grier and Robert, things get pretty soft.

First batter lines to left and then Auburn turns a DP after Clements hit a batter to put him on and that closed out the inning.

Well, Clements gives up a home run...making the game 6-2 now in the top of the 6th. Clement coming apart a bit now....some control problems and some pretty hard hit balls....might not be in the game much longer...AU has couple guys in the bull pen.

Morehead gets a couple base runners with one out and Clements manages induce a pop fly to left and then Coach comes out to get him. Actually a pretty good outing for him....stands to get the win if AU can hold the lead.

Will Thompson coming in to finish up this inning...and maybe more. Guess it depends on who else Holliday wants to give some playing time.

AU scores another run to go up 7-2 in the 7th and Thompson comes in for the 7th....his second inning.

Rentz in the bull pen....so perhaps he will get a chance to throw tonight after a short outing the past weekend.

Thompson walks a batter and get's behind on his second batter ....can't find the plate.

Well, now settles down....gets a strike out for #2.....still has a runner on first after a lead off walk. Bunt single and nobody covering 3rd and runner goes from first to 3rd.....interesting a....a 2 out bunt for a hit and got AU napping.

And a called strike 3 to get out of the inning leaving 2 runners on base.

Robert walks to open the inning and Morehead brings a new pitcher to face Haeker. Grounds to first and Robert advances to second.

Craft catching now...coming to bat for the first time and flies to left for an easy out on the first pitch.

Murphy now at the place...Robert still hanging out at 2nd hoping for a hit to bring him home.

Murphy goes down swinging at a low breaking ball and the inning is over ...going to top of the 8th with AU up 7-2

Nulph leading off for AU and grounds out for #1....bad throw but first base got the tag on him

Poulston played 3B tonight but is out now and Deese to PH for him....and stay in for the last inning. Quick ground out for Deese...out #2.

High pop fly to right...miss-played and ball drops to the ground....and a 2 base error puts Burgreen on 2nd. Morehead coach makes a "defensive" change immediately after that play.

Gray up with runner in scoring position and Burgreen steals 3rd....pitching not paying enough attention I guess.

And Gray put up a K and the inning is over.

Andrew Maxwell making his second appearance for AU this year....last pitched back in Feb I think.....

Chance for him to close out the game....just needs to get 3 outs.

Freshman lefty....batter grounds to Deese who boots it....been having problems at 3rd the past few weeks.....hope he is ready for UF....can't give them any free bases.

So runner at first now....and next batter lines a hit into left on an 0-2 pitch....freshman mistake I guess. ...and he is done for the night.

Let's see if Trey can shake off the bad bama weekend.....probably going to need him at UF since no word that KT will be available for that series. JMO but would hold him back if AU qualifies for the SEC ....which looks like the case.

And game not over yet....grounder just past Gray, could not get to it and runner scores from 2nd...unearned run....and score is now 7-3.

I'll say this: our RPI is some kind of good. 24 after this blow up of a weekend and win over Morehead State, and can go nowhere but up after this weekend against Florida. We're still looking at a possible RPI of under 20 at regular season send even with such a poor weekend with Bama. Hope the boys show up this weekend.
