Ends when we start winning again. No one wants to watch Auburn limp their way through games. That is not entertaining football to neutral fans.

Sure....we win more games and we move to later in the day....but JMO, the networks that get AU as one of their early games are the winners.

AU is historically a very good TV draw especially when slotted against the usual early games....note that this on CBS.

The team may be underachieving but they still play entertaining football, they have a loyal following.... and unlike some of the other lower ranked teams in the SEC, they are not going to put fans to sleep.

This has been the worst season since Chizik last year (2012) when he went 3-9 overall and 0-8 in the SEC.

Dear GOD! It's only been three years ago........LOL

You have to admit... he's getting really good at the whole "profit of the obvious" thing this year.

CBS wants our ratings. We Gave ESPN season high viewership at that spot last week. Just stinks for us.

Bingo. We stink and Georgia stinks. And as bad as UGA is this year, Richt will find a way to beat us - probably by 2 or 3 TDs. Sorry for the pessimism but we always lose to Georgia unless we have an elite team and we are just a bad team right now.

Apparently watching us limp against good teams is very interesting to someone.

We were the most streamed game of the week on WatchESPN. We were the third most watched game of the week for any time slot. We were the highest rated noon kickoff of the college season.

Ratings like that are the reason CBS wasn't letting us go.

This was nice to read, thanks. I guess it was a pretty slow week, but I am rather surprised we rated so highly-- OM's profile has risen in recent years but they aren't exactly a national darling. I tend to forget how nationally recognizable the AU brand is, especially with the two recent NC appearances.

Hate to say it, though, but I wonder if Bama's off-week helped to boost our numbers -- a lot of Bammer's with nothing better to do.

Don't bother them with "facts." ;)

A good all day tailgate more than once this year would be nice. this has not been a good year for tailgating.

not surprised....lots of people in the AU fan base spout off with little knowledge and no facts to support their arguments.

Would hot have JJ's job for anything....probably one of the worst AD jobs in the country these days. AU get in the BCS a couple times under his watch and now everyone DEMANDS that it happen that way every year....almost makes bammers look rational by comparison. JMO

Can't say that I disagree at all. The Internet has done a lot of good, but the fact that it has given a forum to wack-jobs to claim whatever pops into their head as truth, and given instant, anonymous access so that anyone can whine and moan to people in authority are definitely not high on the benefits list.

JJ is the worst AD we've ever had and he's in the top 5 as being one of the worst AD's in the country.

Just curious who you consider the top 5 ADs in the country among the Power 5 schools?

JMO but I bet most AU fans could not even name 5 ADs anywhere in the US....good, bad or otherwise.

And without doing research, who were the 3 ADs who preceded JJ? I know / knew one of them personally many years ago and he sure was no genius.
