Draper chops it toward 3rd and that ends the iinning. Auburn gets one off the Rhodes homer. Auburn trailing 2-1...

One thing I've noticed is that our batters are taking more pitches than they did the other night. That's got to be planned to take a toll on Parker, although I think that's a situation where you need to be aggressive and just look for a pitch to hit

What it does is allow Parker get ahead on the batter, which is reportedly one of her strengths. But if it works to get her out, then it's shear genus! ;D

What a game this is - AU heart vs OK talent.

Not sure what the batters are seeing but they are taking a lot of strikes...good pitches.

Most are seeing the actual strike zone...not a foot outside of it where the ump is calling some of them. Also, facing a pitcher with a lot of movement on the ball causes hesitation. That's all it takes to decide not to swing. Pitcher is just good.

We took a lot of strikes. Most were within the given strike out box.

Agreed. That's why I credited the pitcher for those ;)

Those little chop plays have just not worked well for us in the tournament....defenses playing in tight and the ground must be soft because the balls are not bouncing very much. Clint noting that too many good pitches are being taken.

That's ok. Just put a little doubt in their heads.

Here comes the top of our lineup. Get it done. Don't want to risk being tied when we're the away team.

Great play by Cooper at 3rd to get the final out. After 4 complete, Auburn trailing 2-1. Top of the order coming up for Auburn...

Howard, Cooper and Carosone. Let's go AUBURN. Let's get some runs here.

Howard with a sharp grounder close to 1st and she boots it and it goes to the 1st baseman and she picks it up and Howard is out at 1st. Cooper up.

This may be our last time through the top of the lineup. Ouch.

Come on, Emily!

Friggin strike zone.
