98,000 whopping jobs in March

You can create enough jobs to have total employment but,,,if those jobs primarily represent subsistence level wages, consumption will be narrowed to necessity items.  Economic growth will be muted.

Wages need to be increased globally.  Consumption needs to be broad.  Therefore, wages need to be high enough to allow for more discretionary spending.

Relative equality and, the relative values of capital and labor matter.  This isn't rocket science.  Capital is demanding more from governments, more from labor as, the demand for labor shifts.  Keynesian Economics doesn't hold up in this  constant environment.

Exploiting cheap labor is a dead end model.  The implications on taxation and economic growth are fairly obvious.  Look at where wealth is dramatically accumulating, look at were debt is accumulating.  In the absence of wage growth, a credit based consumer economy has no where to go.  It leads to the boom/bust, easy credit/tight credit cycles.

That sounds like lobbyists with cash are making the decisions.

Deregulation that does not foster competition is economically meaningless.  All it does is create more profits for a few at the expense of society.

Lobbyist with cash making decisions has been happening with both parties.  A lot of the financial regulations that were supposedly designed to prevent the to Big to fail as pushed by the Democrats put a lot of the smaller banks out of  business and hurt a lot of the medium size banks while allowing the larger banks to get bigger. The Democrats were either incredibly incompetent or they listened to the big bank lobbyist. Now that so much competition has been eliminated rolling back the current regulations will help the remaining players meaning the big banks.

To often people in congress with good intentions just aren't smart enough to create good well thought out laws and we pay the price. The Affordable Healthcare Act (by the way a great marketing name) an admirable intent to get more people on insurance however poorly thought out many of the objections the republicans made proved to be true as time passed and as Insurance became less affordable. I am not giving the Republicans a pass on this either they have had years of criticizing and during that time they could have done one of two things except that ACA was here and work with Democrats to try and improve it or spend their time coming up with a new well though out plan that they would have been able to present and pass when they came to power.

When the Republicans were trying to come up with their new plan the Democrats took up the same obstinate position we won't work with them we won't make suggestions  its my way or the highway. They did and are still doing the same thing they complained about the Republicans doing. Both parties remind me of  a couple  of 3 year old's on a playground both want they same toy and won't compromise or share.

It is much easier to block complicated bills then to figure out how to take good ideas from both sides of the aisle and come up with well thought out regulations that help the American people.

Nailed it.  Kasich was the best candidate to move the country forward, unfortunately SuperPacs and them being allowed to exist have divided this country greatly.
