The Movie "Darkest Hours"

Proud Tiger

Recommended Posts

Went to see the movie "Darkest Hours" in Tigertown this evening. Great movie. What does it have to do with politics......everything. The politics in England at the time were typical of party line and obstructionism. Chamberlain reminds me of Obama and Churchhill like Trump. Not perfectly but good comparisons.

But regardless of your politics, it is well worth seeing.

Every thought... Every Fox news article... Whether well-considered or barely pondered, know that you can count on the ProudTiger to bring drivel to the board.

You really need to get your panties out of a wad. I could say the same thing about you and several others here. Problem is your kind doesn't tolerate other poster's posts or opinions and are mod wannabees. PLEASE NOTE....the OP was about a movie. I said "regardless of your politics it was with seeing."

Look down the forum and tell me which topic I have started that aren't factual. Guess you don't like such drivel or is it just pure hypocrisy on your part?

As far as FOX maybe if you watched it more you would be more aware of what's going on in the world. But I guess you like good old CNN better and screwups like this:

No, you couldn't.  I rarely start threads, and when I do source I them and provide numerous corroborating articles.  I also don't treat the Politically Speaking board as a platform for every opinion that pops into my head.

I'm fine without Fox News seeing as how they are the most consistently inaccurate of the major news outlet.  Also, the only news outlet that I view in television is C-SPAN 1.  I don't have any other news channels on my cable package, because I don't see the value in paying for it.

If you don't watch FOX how do you know they are so inaccurate. And why are they consistently the most watched cable news network?

You didn't answer my question "what threads have I started recently that are not factual?" You called them drivel so point out the drivel.

Ok.  Let's see... Hey everybody I'm mad about some crappy celebrity's comments about dear leader.  Here's a thread about it.

Hey everybody I saw a movie and I really think one of the main characters, specifically the one seen in the more positive light, is a parallel to dear leader.

Hey everyone look at this completely normal situation that involves those evil Obama's.  Check out this purposefully misleading title, but disregard the aspects of the article that reveal the innocuous nature of the whole thing.  I know that's what I did.

LMAO off at your hypocrisy. You never express opinions do you? Oh wait......you are doing it now. But.....I ask again.....what threads have I started that were not factual. Is it against some rule not to start a topic with factual info and then express an opinion about it? I thought that was what the forum was all about.  On this topic I said the movie was good and everyone should wee it. I didn't say everone shoul have the same opinion about the similarity of characters then and now. Get back to work and pay my social security.

I'd like to ask if you're familiar with these...

Maybe if you would adhere to these you wouldn't receive so much negativity.

"2. Drive by postings of editorials unaccompanied by your own thoughts are not permitted. If what you are posting is worthy of comment and discussion, as the original poster you need initiate the commentary/discussion."

"7.    In general, back up your points and opinions with reason, logic and evidence.  Merely stating "it's my opinion" isn't enough.  Don't assume that just because a person is critiquing a party or a politician that the person must automatically support the other party. "

Sure I'm aware of those and I would be happy for ALL the rules to be enforced such as name calling, etc. But that is up to mods to enforce NOT YOU or ME. I would note the Smack Forum says for "non-serious political smack and smack goes here." So what goes where is up to the mods. Be my guest if you what to complain to them. And if you don't like my opinions feel free not to read them or comment.  If you are so good about rules, I ask........Are you posting here on company time?

Good. Hope you are doing well. I just post here to kill time while playing the stock market, mostly in Apple. Year is going great. Made $77,900 since Jan. 1 (two weeks) and market still flying. Hope I don't get too greedy.

Gosh darn socialists!

I heard someone say recently that all the young socialist college grads should be required to go live in a socialist country for a year to see how they like it. Might be a good idea, but there I go expressing my opinion again:Sing:
