Proud Tiger 4,261
As I did with Kavanaugh I support his innocence until proven guilty but it sure is nice to see his sorry ass on the other side as the defender. I wonder how the hero of the lefties and the MeToo crowd will react.

I'm convinced that he will run and actually has a chance of winning the Dem primary. This is absolutely not an endorsement on my part. I would rather this guy completely disappear from the political scene altogether, but I fear he will be the Dem Trump.

I just don't see any way he would win if he did follow through with his threat to run. Dem party is a different process than Republicans in the primaries thanks to full allocation of votes based on percentage rather than having some winner take all states. No way would he garner enough support to claim the nomination. Agree though on wishing he would just go away.

It is usually very passionate (often more extreme in their positions) people. Given that, I think anything could happen. No one thought DT would win the nomination either. All I am saying is, never say never, and work to support more qualified candidates!

The sizable followings of grifters like Avenatti and the Krassensteins didn’t happen by accident. These people know how to push the right buttons. DKW 86 7,431
Quote Michael Avenatti Is Winning the 2020 Democratic Primary From Politico: One month ago, Michael Avenatti—the Stormy Daniels lawyer, Donald Trump antagonist, and yes, potential 2020 presidential candidate—spoke at an Iowa Democratic Party fundraiser and declared to a cheering crowd that there was “no greater question facing our party and our nation” than “how” Democrats fight. He chastised Democrats for having “a tendency to bring nail clippers to a gun fight” when they should be fighting “fire with fire.” Avenatti is the lead storm chaser in a little-noticed front in the 2020 Democratic presidential campaign: Who can out-Trump the sitting president by going the furthest to break procedural “norms”? Even if Avenatti has little chance of winning the nomination, he could still wreck the 2020 Democratic race. In fact he’s already doing it, by using his considerable media skills and political instincts to frame the contest around how far Democrats should go when wielding power, and to pressure his rivals to follow his cue. If we begin measuring candidates on the basis of who has the weakest attachment to the written and unwritten rules which have stabilized American democracy for centuries, the country will be in serious danger.
