2 things that stuck out to me is all the chatter about Smoke and he’s not the starter. Also, Tutt beat out Davis

Smoke spent some time injured so that’s why. He will play a lot though. Davis is starter at corner Tutt will play star .

He was never expected to start. Yes he had a great Fall Camp but it was going to be hard for him to pass Iggy or Davis at CB & Thomas or Denson at Safety.

Like you said he will be used a lot though, in the safety rotation & a slot CB.

Agree completely but I think too with injury that didn’t help

Spencer Nigh: 270 lbs of H back looking for some defender to hurt!

From what I’ve heard he has been running over some folks thru camp. Some said he was definitely our best blocking back.

Bird been meaning to get your thought on Crime Dog being back and what you expect will change if anything from Brown

I love that he is back. He is a tremendous defensive mind and recruiter. I though our techniques improved under Brown but that could be just been talent upgrades. I'm not really sure what to expect. It'll take a few games to get a good read on his effect, but I don't expect it to be a negative one.

It will be interesting to see how he & Woodson work. Per a Woodson interview they are supposedly doing the DBs in tandem instead of Crime Dog exclusively at Safety & Woodson exclusively at CB.

I’ve heard he has decent hands too. He could make a big difference in the offense.

Nigh?

Pretty sure Bird has more than one thought....although Golf might disagree.

Ok guys I want to talk actual football with somebody. What we got?

Thoughts on Coe being listed at a previously non-existent position, OLB?

This is what I was talking about earlier. This could be HUGE for us. Think Carolina Panthers new 3-4/4-3 hybrid they're developing and implementing now. "Big Nick" as the name for a Nickel package with Coe involved. There are so many intriguing possibilities.

So much room for activities!

Long as it's just him rushing the QB I guess it's ok. I wonder will we be messing up as far as his usage rate as far as the entire season though

Is that where they had him, at Buck?

Well we already know Golf only has one thought...

A good bit of time last year, yes.

I just looked at the depth chart. I don't like they have him playing another linebacker position besides buck. I can't imagine he'd be good in space and in pass coverage. I don't like they have him at #2 at damn near every position.

That’s the new LB position bird was talking about that apparently was just invented.

Agreed but it is what it is. I really worry about our DT quality depth.
