Completing a little over half of your passes isn't great at any point but it isn't a nail in the coffin either. If you throw it 10-20 times it definitely could be more detrimental than throwing it 40-50 times though, especially with our hit and miss running game. It’s different because the game was played differently. You can’t compare 90s stats in the NBA vs today stats especially with scoring. It’s entirely a different type of style of play. That’s why someone with a 56% percent completion rate can win the heisman. Unless you are putting up astronomical numbers like Lamar Jackson. But even he had to Improve at the next level. That’s not happening in today’s game.

He just didn’t play competitive football period for a whole year. a simple google such would reinforce that. it's the same thing, he sat out a year before coming to Auburn and he practiced with a high school team the whole time.....same thing, he was 2 years removed from high school before he came to Auburn so lets see what Bo's numbers are his third year out of high school

Sitting out is not the equivalent of being a redshirt player on scholarship, practicing with like peers, dressing out with teammates, getting true reps. He legitimately sat out a whole year and played pitch and catch with a small Texas high school when he had time. It is nowhere near the same thing. He was out of college ball a year, he wasn't learning a playbook or working through schemes and reps at the college level.

The workout with the upperclassmen, eat with them, attend all meetings and practice sessions and they are allowed to go live in bowl practice and actually play in bowl games. While they are doing all of that, they are acclimating to campus and taking care of academics as well at athletics. They are studying and learning the play book and offensive/defensive language and schemes. That's a hell off of lot different than literally being absent from college football altogether and taking practice reps with a high school squad. But that's what is to be expected from a TF QB. The misfire to Joiner last week was a choke job that could have changed the game. That's on the QB. cole256 17,084
It's in the middle.....it's not all on Bo but he's certainly not able to say he's not part of the problem.....

AuburnTiger4Life 2,225
It’s easier to remember the bad things... but he has done some great things this season too. 1. The comeback against Oregon. Yeah the TD catch was mainly Seth. But look at the plays he made before that on that drive. 2. Sealing the A&M game with his legs on 4th down to prevent them from potentially tying the game. 3. The throw to Schwartz on 3rd and long in the ole miss game that chewed up a lot of clock when Ole Miss was only down 6 4. The throws against Moo State/Arky. Terrible opponents but he has shown he put the ball on a dime when he has time. 5. The comeback against UGA. Yeah it was against zone but he showed so much heart and I thought he looked as confident as he ever has. the pass to Williams was a catch imo and would’ve changed the game (the Joiner whiff wouldn’t of happened). His TD run against UGA might be my favorite moment of his (even more than the Oregon game winner)

AuburnTiger4Life 2,225
Nix finished the regular season with 2,366 passing yards, 15 passing touchdowns along and 6INT. 7 rushing TDs and 301 yards on the ground. Also a 57% completion percentage for the year. Not too bad
