This was back during his "everyone's an enemy" phase. Raging anti-semite and all that.

His views evolved tremendously after his Hajj and break from the Nation and shortly before his assassination, and he even welcomed the help of the Socialist Workers' Party and came around to support MLK and the Civil Rights movement.

X is an interesting study, and it's a damn shame he was assassinated before his full influence, intellect and a finalized form of his ideals could be brought to bear.

I really think his views then were rather profound and have a ring of truth today.

You're looking at a snapshot at a time when he had an extremely skewed view and was very much a racist himself. He was an anti-Semite and black separatist through and through, and despised white people in general. He was, more or less, a hateful son of a bitch at that time, which isn't too strange given his experiences to that point.

Then he took his Hajj - the traditional Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca - in 1964, and his views on just about everything changed. His views were quite protean right up until his assassination, and seemed to be changing for the better.

It's become a thing for white nationalists, anti-semites and people that hate liberals in general to adopt his rhetoric without looking at the evolution of his views in context right up until his death.

But you're just here to wield him as a club. That much is clear.
