Abraham Hamilton on BLM...the Political Organization

ToraGirl

Recommended Posts

This is an interesting podcast, aimed for Christians genuinely trying to understand the minds and motives behind the political movement itself. The second link is for all who want to understand better a shameful, racially repugnant history for which we as Americans must repent...as we stand with our Black brothers and sisters and together build a unified future that embodies the dream of Dr. Martin Luther King...and Jesus, Himself.

I can't help but laugh, especially when he appealed to Russia and tried to compare modern BLM to the Bolshevik Revolution.

Tora, this man is a moron. That's not to say the political apparatchik of BLM (apparatchik being a term I'm using with intent here) doesn't have major issues. It does, and I have been extremely critical of both it and the leadership of then Women's March, which has similar problems, in the past.

But this guy is spouting absolute bull****. Dig a little deeper, please.

He's using their words, Dub! I'd rather hear an African-American weigh in on this particular issue than all of the white talking heads in the world.

Enjoy the second link. We'll all know the truth, one way or the other, one day.

He's also offering gross, silly misinterpretations.

They spout bull****, a lot, but his interpretation is off the wall. "Pagan Marxism" LOL. Moral panic of the 80s all over again.

And Tora, his being black is about as tangential as the price of tea in China. I. Don't. Care. Black people are every bit as capable of a wrong-headed perspective as a neo-Nazi. See Farrakhan, or Malcolm X before he reformed.

Martin Luther King Jr was socialist sympathizer, likely a socialist himself. Go ahead and accuse him of "godlessness" while invoking his words. Laughable.

Yes this may come as a shock to several here, but the Marxism/Communism/Socialism angle of attack is far from new. Hoover's FBI surveilled MLK for years under the auspices of his ties to the communists.

To invoke the EJI's work and Civil Rights in this attack while at the same time pillorying the "marxists" heading BLM just screams "irony."

The results speak for themselves. This organization (BLM) born out of the LGBTQ movement by three ladies, isn’t about the things I stand for. It looks a lot like Marxist ideas cloaked in “equity”.

I support Black Lives but I do not support BLM.

But he's playing THEIR words. I heard them. Did you?

Sorry, no on MLK. I'll leave that to you. He's one of my GOATS.

Hamilton...You called him a moron. Not his opinion. His person. How do we expect our African American community to believe whites care, much less believe that "black lives matter" when we denigrate individuals among them who have different opinions than ours...or than what the mainstream purports? When Black conservatives exercise their differing voice, they're morons?

This is about agenda, not truth. So you keep your opinion, I'll keep mine, and everybody else can discern for themselves.

I did. I have major criticisms of the organization independent of the movement.

But that doesn't mean I agree with his interpretations, Tora.

And I meant it. This man is absolute poison for the psyche.

And you go straight for the "you criticized a black man, therefore you're a racist" angle of attack.

Tora, I am going to appeal to your better nature here as politely as I can.

 Walk. That. Back.

Everyone has an agenda. That can be a good thing or a bad thing. There's no such thing as a completely neutral argument.

Tora, you strike me as the sort that has whitewashed MLK beyond recognition. All of the communist leanings,  the extramarital affairs, the HUMANITY of the man, scrubbed to achieve some sort of sanctification beyond his actual accomplishments so your conservative ass could claim some part of the man he was.

He was a rabble rouser to the nth degree, "rocking the boat," as it were. And people like you would have ******* hated his rabble rousing, uppity, carpetbagging ass, sticking his nose where it didn't belong, like my home here in good ol' Bombingham, where people literally got their asses kicked, had dogs and firehoses aimed their way and were even ******* firebombed over something so basic as their rights.

But you've got your Hamilton the thirds and the like, convinced this is all about witchcraft and paganism.

You're funny, Tora, but not "haha" funny.

And truly, I do not like dropping this anvil. For one,  I think you're mistaken and mean well. For another, I personally like you.

But, for the Love of God, do your research.

Tora, dub doesnt like this. So he had to immediately go to his "dismissive" schtick. As is his usual, he didnt provide any real facts, links, or information. But again, as usual, you got a 100% dismissal because he simply disagreed with it. SSDD.

I was pretty clear on why, but leave it to David to come to the defense of a purveyor of bad information with a radio show from the American Family Association, a literal hate group.

This is a guy that literally stood up for Roy Moore lol. Get that Doug Jones sign out of your signature. You're not fooling anyone.

Funniest thing about you, David, is that you'll go to bat for obvious bull**** the moment I call it such, not because of any sort of rational forethought,  but simply because I deigned to opine on it.

You've revealed a lot by claiming that American Family Radio is a hate group. I know why you said it, but it's not because it is. I've said ad nauseam, WORLDVIEW is everything.

MLK...I have done the research, but definitely not through your "lens." The grace part of me, the part to which all are called but few employ, does not throw the good out with the bad. Only one perfect human ever walked this earth. If Black lives matter, then both sides of the things that matter to Black lives matter, too.  There are COUNTLESS Black voices whose divergent views will never make it onto this site. Why exactly is that? Because they're all moronic? When everyone who disagrees with you is the lame one, it's time to look in the mirror. That goes for us each.

I've stood and wept at the Lorraine Motel/National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis and done the same at the EJI in Montgomery. Done the same at the memorial park adjacent to the 16th Street Baptist Church in your hometown. I do it more for my own heart and desire to help heal than I do out of reverence for Dr. King, but I will not diss his accomplishments nor his method of bringing them about during his time on earth.

"People like me", Dub? Only said under cover of a message board. I'm as transparent as they come, and I've never given you or anyone else any reason to think I would behave as you describe. I've actually put a lot of retro-thought into it. Born in 1966, in the thick of it. It wasn't my time then. But were I an adult in that era, I hope I would have had the courage to have been a Viola Liuzzo or Rev. James Reeb, whites who gave their lives on the march from Selma. I think of Dr. King every time I pass Ebenezer Baptist church, which is often. I know the young learners, all male, all Black, just across the street at Valiant Cross Academy do the same. MLK lived under a microscope, and he was as flawed as JFK, yet we celebrate the IDEALS, the message, more than the flawed messengers, as we look in the mirror and realize we are responsible not for their actions/lack of, Biden's actions/lack, Trump's actions/lack , but OUR OWN. Neither MLK nor JFK lived long enough to meet your standard of repentance.  Fortunately, it's not your standard that matters. If we study only the perfect, we'll be of no use to anyone.

I am offended for my brothers and sisters who are Black that (open firestorm now) the "Cosby Show" was maligned in the 90s for being "too white." That actress Zoe Saldana feels she should apologize for not being "Black enough" to play Nina Simone in a previous film. The voices that say such to these do NOT represent all African Americans. Much less whites. Let the BLM movement not rob the Black individuals of the right to be heard. As for me, I'm going to listen.

There was an article I came across today by an intelligent, well-spoken Black father of four sons entitled, "Kobe Bryant Doesn't Speak for Me." You would have LOVED that one. Black lives don't matter until ALL Black voices do.

And as for you? I personally like you, too. But maybe we'd do better to stick to rats...."All Things Considered." 🙌

THANKS.FOR.PLAYING. I have completely given up on you EVER understanding what you do. I will try, one last time to get you to see.

Just because someone may have made a mistake in their life, say work for AFA, or Fox, or whatever, that doesnt immediately and automatically mean that they are wrong on every subject. Do you realize just how f'in stupid you sound at times? You wont debate anything, because at some time in the past, in your screwed up judgment, someone may have said or done something stupid, therefore, in your wee lil mind EVERY SINGLE THING, 100%, that they deign to think is obviously going to be wrong from that point in their lives...

You are just crazy.

Every person on this board has said or done something crazy/stupid/etc. Does that mean everyone of us are 100% wrong on every subject going forward for the rest of our lives? Of course not! It just means we are human. What you do is dismiss EVERYTHING anyone has said in their life time because YOU disagree with one thing they said or did. It is juvenile and silly.

EX: "Everything AUDub says is wrong, not just kind of wrong but 100% Wrong, you know I saw him passed out drunk one time. He is just an old drunken lush and is therefore 100% wrong on every subject for the rest of his life.

Of course that is BS, but that is how you think and act.

An intelligent man would do thus:

EX:

DKW 86: "AUDub said XYZ. I dont agree with that position and here is why I see things differently... Here are two articles, a white paper, or a video explaining why I feel the way i do. Dub is a fine guy and i respect him but we just see different on this topic."

But of course, what we would get from Dub is:

AUDub: You know David, he believes ABC, (gives no facts for this statement) his opinion sucks though because he hangs out with Progressives and they are all just stupid. All of their ideas are stupid. They are all crazy like that."

Dub, you know, you sound like that crazy orange man more often than not, because that is exactly how he counters an argument. He just goes for an unreasonable dismissal that is devoid of facts.

It's not a stretch, Tora. Hell, beyond the SPLC, even the US Army has designated the AFA as such.

Seriously, ask Mr. Hamilton what he thinks of homosexuals. I'm sure it will be a real eye opener for you. "Sexual deviance agenda," lol. His words are more damning than any opprobrium I could level on this forum.

Mostly because they're ******* stupid. I don't give ear to people that believe that "teh gays" were responsible for the Holocaust or that homosexuals in general,  a historically marginalized group in their own right, enjoy a degree of privilege greater than what a straight, white, middle-class dude like me has enjoyed.

These people say stupid s*** that you're incapable of recognizing as stupid s*** because it appeals to your biases.

Yeah yeah yeah. Cool. Whatever. I'm sure you mean well.

Then you post a video from this asshat from the AFA, and I am left wanting with regard to your commitment to civil rights or social justice.

Face it. You're committed to social justice to a point.

My grace isn't conditional. I recognize these people for what they were. Great, but ultimately flawed. Human, as it were.

But that doesn't mean I avoid calling bull**** for what it is when I see it. And you, Tora, posted bull****. Not only that, you told us it appeals to you.

There are plenty of black voices that speak out against black people having voices. Ever seen Django Unchained? The Stephens of the world are your bailiwick, apparently.

Agreed. I like you, a lot. But don't expect to come here and go unchallenged.

This is a dangerous part a place like this, where we are often ugly towards one another. Such is politics.

But that's not necessarily a bad thing. The last thing I would want you to do is handle me with kid-gloves when I deserve an absolute verbal thrashing had I posted something worthy of it. You would be doing me a disservice otherwise.

To further elaborate upon this, the verbal ass whippings I received from @Aufan59 and@TitanTiger not only humbled me, they made me better. I learned from those exchanges. Embarrassment, shame, chagrin, were secondary concerns as they humbled me.

I do not begrudge them dropping the hammer when it was warranted.

You, David, on the other hand,  are one of the most incoherent members of this forum. You cloak yourself with a veneer of progressivism, hence the Bernie fandom, but you are nothing more than an untethered reactionary. You don't even know your own mind, less the beliefs you supposedly stan, otherwise you'd know better than to stick up for Mr. Hamilton here.

Guess I struck close to home when I pointed out exactly what you're defending, hence the screed. Thank God you're no longer a mod that can steer arguments by fiat with nary a care.

You truly dont know anything about me nor this site. The way you are sssooo wrong and yet so certain youre right is just amazing.
Half of the Liberals on this site I MADE THEM MODS. I am so PRO-FREE SPEECH that I chose those that I disagreed with back then to be mods so that they could challenge me AND know they would be heard. The only posts I ever moderated in the 19 years I have been associated with this site were those that were racist, and the old "owners group" when we found them on another site threatening to "Implode AUN from within" and that was after they had literally almost deleted a whole forum. That's it. If you could see the moderators or admins panel every word I just said would 100% True.

Now, there might have been a time I was accused of moderating something that I didnt do. I gave my mods 100% free reign. There was not enough hours in the day for me to moderate a site. If someone had a beef about it, i would go back in the Admins Panel and see who did what. I doubt that had to get on to a Mod more than 2X in 8 years.

I am scrupulously dedicated to Open Discourse and Free Speech. This is probably the most liberal AU site on the web and has more open discourse than all the rest BECAUSE OF ME. I do not mind being challenged. In fact, I love it. I grow from it. I can and have changed from it. The fact that you still think i am a fake is probably because you know that you arent growing in your own walk/journey. I am not you Brother. I AM NOT YOU & DONT WANT TO BE YOU...EVER.

It would be a total fail to me to be as closed minded as you are
