vatz22au 142
Here Seven SEC players on Outland list Friday, July 01, 2005 Seven Southeastern Conference players are on the 2005 Outland Trophy watch list announced Thursday by the Football Writers Association of America. The Outland Trophy is presented annually to college football's best interior offensive or defensive lineman. The list of 36 candidates includes two Auburn seniors -- nose tackle T.J. Jackson and offensive tackle Marcus McNeill -- and Alabama center J.B. Closner. Other SEC players on the list are center Mike Degory of Florida, offensive lineman Max Jean-Gilles of Georgia, offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth of LSU and defensive tackle Jesse Mahelona of Tennessee. The 2005 Outland Trophy announcement will come Dec. 8 in Orlando, Fla., on "The ESPN Home Depot College Football Awards Show." The presentation banquet will be held Jan. 12 in Omaha, Neb. I still say we have a good team this year.... Alot of the magazines I read have alot of our players on All-preseason SEC or other honors, yet we get no respect as a TEAM.
