Women Fall in OT to Mizzou

This team has improved so much. Lost in OT to Mizzou and lost last Sunday to Bama by 3.
 

LSU is a tough, ranked opponent, but our girls deserve a big crowd Sunday at 4:00.

In the BAMA game they looked tired.  Last night against MIZZOU play appeared more deliberate and organized with the exception of the OT.  WE didn't have an answer for Williams and Blackwell.  Mizzou shooting % were superior in all phases: FG%, FT% and 3's.  It appeared that in the OT when Mizzou went up by 5 or 6 points we lost some composure.  Believe this team is better but not in the habit of winning conference games.  Some wins in these type of games would improve their confidence.

Former Auburn player Lauren Hanson made the winning shot for Mizzou when they beat USCe. We sure did lose some good ones because they "wouldn't buy into Coach Flo's program".

We didn’t have an answer for their post Williams. We do not have a player big enough to defend a true post due to coach Flo’s incompetence to recruit post players.

It wasn't they wouldn't buy into Coach Flo's program as Coach Flo would not adjust anything to take advantage of the talent she had so very good players left who are playing well at other programs. All coaches have a philosophy but they make adjustments to accommodate their players abilities but Coach Flo could not or would not do that.

This years team does not have enough talent to win many SEC games but is playing more like a team and are competitive. This is because they are getting much better coaching.  Give this staff a couple of classes to bring in their players and we will be competing and winning a lot of games. Coach brought in some transfers that has helped this year and has a very solid class coming in next year.

Yes, I was furious with the exodus of all those fantastic players.  We really had some high level players that we forced out.  Glad Lauren did well.

I know last year we didn't win a SEC game, after watching them so far this season, I feel very good we'll win several games in the conference...continue to play hard and the close ones will end up in the win total...
