Maddie still lighting it up.  Strikes out the side again (all six outs so far) , but 1 ball was put in play.  It was a 2 base error on a shallow pop to left.  Peralta had it bounce off her glove trying to catch it on the run in the sun. 

Auburn leads 1-0 still coming to bat.

Saw elsewhere that LSU swept a doubleheader with Alabama to open their series in Baton Rouge. That was Bama's first 2 losses of the season.

Garcia hits a barely missed HR that scores Blaine and PR Schmidt. AU up 4-3 going into the 6th. Lowe is in now to relieve Penta. 

We escaped a dangerous situation where TAMU had the bases loaded. Still 4-3 going into the bottom of the 6th.

2 good wins to start SEC play. Having to battle through some adversity and getting timely hits in the later innings. Having 3 pitchers that can get outs when needed will go along way the rest of the year.

Auburn got up to a 6-1 lead and then some very weird coaching decisions by Dean, IMO.

Dismukes has been getting hit all game and getting out of trouble. She then gives up 3 singles in a row to load the bases with 1 out. Instead of going to the bullpen earlier, he lets Dismukes stay in against A&M's best hitter and she hits a grandslam.

After that Lowe comes in to get Auburn out of the inning.

6-5 Auburn B5th.

Oh they actually reversed it, but then she was called out on a steal attempt.  May have been her first caught stealing.  She looked safe there too. Yeesh.  Put it away.

Agree.  KK gives up the slam and THEN he pulls her.  SMH.  In he first inning he has Garcia, who is one of our hottest hitters sacrifice. She executed it well, and I love small ball, but I don't see taking the bat out of her hand.

Maybe now we have enough players who can overcome his game decisions.

Impressive that the offense continues in SEC play.  5, 4, then 8 runs.  6 home runs I think.
