Baseball vs South Carolina series

I'm not able to do that timely of updates with Softball going on at the same time but will try to update every couple of innings. Mullins is on the mound for Auburn.

Game is 1-0 in the B2nd.

Pair of errors gave South Carolina the lead in the T2nd.

Hill starts off the B2nd with a double and Peirce moves him to 3rd on a ground out.

Moore grounds out as well but Hill scores. No hits with runners on but playing small ball has got us tied.

Back-to-back Ks for Mullin before he gives up a solo shot.

3 up, 3 down, 3 ground outs for Howell, DiChiara, and Carlson.

Hit batter and a single have runners on the corner with 0 outs for South Carolina.

Strike out and then a ground out and we have a tied game. Ground out ends the half inning.

3 up, 3 down as Hill grounds out, Peirce strikes out, and Moore flies out.

Mullins gives up a 1 out walk but erases it with a double play.

3 up 3 down as Foster and LaRue strike out and Rambusch grounds out. Doing nothing ever since the LaRue homer.

Mullins gives up a 1 out single and his day his done. Allsup is coming in.

Howell grounds out, 11 straight retired for Carolina.

DiChiara with a single to break up that streak.

Carlson strikes out and so does Hill.

Gives up a 2 out single but nothing else as he gets 2 ks.

4 pitch walk to LaRue to turn the lineup over.

Another ball and LaRue steals second. Speed demon is now 2 for 2 on stolen bases.

Rambusch grounds out to SS.

Burk was throwing a nasty cutter at 89-90 mph 3 to 4 pitches in a row and then following it with a 95-97 straight fastball.   Granted the Cocks are not a dominate hitting team, but Burk looked really, really good.   SonnyD continues to pad his banking account.
