Gowebb11 9,340 Posted April 2, 2023 Share Posted April 2, 2023 (edited) 13-8 Gators now. Walks have killed us. Pitiful effort by the bullpen. Hayden Murphy in now and is at least throwing strikes. Offensively we’ve hit well overall but the last two AU hitters struck out with sad whiffs at the ball. This team played hard until until two innings ago and now look like they’re ready to go home. Runner on first and 1 out in a tie game with three innings left, you play for a DP, maybe bring corners in. The margin is so slim a team can't afford to lose a key contributor much less your Friday night starter. But Auburn lost a lot of very good pitchers after last season (Blake Burkhalter, Mason Barnett, Trace Bright, Carson Skipper, and Hayden Mullins were all selected in the 2022 MLB draft).
