Watched highlights.  Looked like we had the chances throughout but that goalie was spectacular during full time.  Then we botched so many PKs lol.  Then a VR goal ends it.  Nobody to blame but themselves.  Just knew it would be the Swedes though lol

I think a big part of it is that the current crop of players wield outsized influence. Rapinoe and Morgan shouldn't have been on this roster.

All of our players were either pre-prime or way past it. The few prime players we did have (Ertz, an injured Lavelle) played well. The rest of it was just disjointed.

That definitely played a part. It would be hard to turn down some legends at the end of their career, especially when we had so many injuries leading up to the WC. I would add in Moran to the in her prime and played well group.
