IMHO, the actual fans venting on a message board are low on the totem poll compared to the million$ this dysfunctional administration and revolving door of coaches that have extorted a king’s ransom from a passionate and faithful fan base in the last decade.

You lay too much blame on the shoulders of message board fans.  While at the same time the Coaches, board Mods, and OTV constantly pass the hat to the FANS for more $$ to fund our NIL to pay players to come here.

 

I can agree with a lot of that.  but,  I think you do not give enough credence to fans attitudes towards players and the team.    1/2 our recruits or more talk about choosing Auburn because of the family atmosphere.  But that fades away quickly with mistakes and miscues.

Our board MODs pass the NIL funding info along on here because multiple people on here asked for it. They also asked for smaller donation levels so those without deep pockets could help without breaking the bank. The MODs aren't soliciting as much as just giving us the information that was asked of them.

Look at what Deion did at Colorado. Pulled bandaid off, told a lotta folks they probably needed to be elsewhere…  

New age out there with NIL and the portal.  Gonna take some getting used to, but if kids come in basically “under contract” getting paid, some criticism is gonna be fair game if they don’t perform.

Hate to do this, but: Now do bama.  Sometimes the Jimmies and Joes really do matter.

Coaches, regardless of  they’re “the goat” do make changes trying to get the pieces and gameplan right. Doesn’t always work, sometimes takes more tinkering, (not 20 hours a week).

Dunno. But a lotta us are acting like we’re at practice, in staff meetings, on the coaches head sets.

One thing we all have known for years - our Oline has  needed 1) more bodies 2) upgrade in talent.  And no was doing anything about it.  There is no room for sloppy/error/indecision when it’s easy for the other guys get to you. Overcoming that other folks around you have been putting WAY more folks in the league (and that they can point to it while recruiting) is an obstacle that’s gonna take time to overcome.

Gonna have to trust the coaches, they were hired for a reason…if they aren’t working out somewhere down the road they too will get their parting gifts

After watching presser, it's taking  everything Freeze can muster up inside to not take over play calling. Montgomery needs to update his resume IMO

There was this cryptic part of the Drain this past Saturday that got me thinking. There was a Rivals mod group chat that JayG pulled up during the show. He wouldn't discuss it. I felt then and now, that Montgomery was on the chopping block.
