Texas Whips Baylor, Surges Past USC

A week after getting a scare against Oklahoma State, Texas rebounded with a 62-0 drubbing at Baylor that pushed the Longhorns past USC into the top spot in this week's Dunkel Index. The No. 2 Trojans came out hot against Stanford, scoring on their first seven possessions, and then cruised to a 51-21 win. The biggest shake-up occurred at No. 3 with Miami replacing Virginia Tech after the Hurricanes' solid 27-7 win over the Hokies. Virginia Tech slips to ninth. Miami has a chance to continue its late-season surge as the 'Canes visit Wake Forest on Saturday.
