'05 Bowl Game

We beat Virginia Tech in the Sugar Bowl last year and ended the season ranked #2 in the country. However, at the start of this season, we were ranked #16 in the cournty. We fell 14 spots because we lost some quality players, not because we lost our bowl game. Makes you wonder if it really matters that much whether you win or lose your bowl game. Obviously, it is better to win, but they appear to judge you on their own biased expectations for the coming year.
