Biggest Disappointment

There are more reasons than we can enumerate -- but what the heck, let's try.

1. For collapsing so miserably right away in the face of top-five expectations, failing to score a touchdown until the third game of the year.

2. For lacking the ability to win big games with defense, even though that unit had been hyped by some as the best in the land.

3. For only rolling up truly major offensive numbers on the four worst teams on the schedule: Vanderbilt, Western Kentucky, Mississippi State and defenseless Louisiana-Monroe.

4. And, of course, for making a mockery of the ideals of higher education with the end-of-season sabotage of coach Tommy Tuberville.
