ad blocker

Recommended Posts

I was informed the other day that Mozilla has an ad blocker available for download after complaining about the tendency for ads to be computationally intensive gifs or flash scripts. I just installed it and it works pretty good. You can give it a list of the generic ad types to block (doubleclick.net is a very common one) and it prevents them from opening in your browser. You can also right click ads and remove them.

I don't use Mozilla anymore. Too much stuff gets past the filters. I use IE and Panda Platinum Internet Security 2007.

Have been using that for awhile. Adblock Plus is great and it is easy to manually filter ads that happen to get by.
