Since its No. 1-ranked recruiting class in 2004, Kentucky fans have longed to have the bragging rights of another No. 1 class.

It didn't take new coach John Calipari long to deliver. In his first months in charge of the program, Calipari has delivered a No. 1-ranked class.

The addition of a third five-star prospect in Eric Bledsoe has catapulted Kentucky's recruiting class to the top.

Also, Mississippi State joins the top 25 after signing five-star prospect Renardo Sidney and four-star mystery prospect John Riek during the spring signing period.

How does Miss. St. draw such talent?

Sidney was going to either UCLA or USC but questions arose about his amateur status and both schools thought it better to avoid him considering their present situations. Miss St doesn't have as much to lose and rolled the dice. Without the questions of his status, he'd be going to California and State didn't have a chance.

From what I hear, he'll never play college basketball and should be packing his bags for Italy.

They are going to be ridiculously talented next year, especially if Patterson and Meeks return...they've gone from being a middle of the pack SEC team to being a legit threat for a Final Four next year.

If Calipari can mold all of those egos into a coherent unit, it's going to be Kentucky and everyone else playing for 2nd in the SEC.

His teams will be better than the teams he coached at Memphis. Match his recruiting and coaching with the fact that it's Kentucky and they will be a powerhouse as long as he is there.

this is now being considered as the #1 recruiting class of All-time. If Meeks comes back(patterson has already said he'll come back) than anything short of a final four appearance is underachieving for this team.

Heh, remember what happened last time UK had 'the best recruiting class of all time'... only one ended up playing for them and the program suffered their first losing season in 50 years or so.

But seriously, is anyone surprised that UK is recruiting well?

Oh yeah, I love that Wall didn't go to Duke. It just solidifies the fact that they will continue to be UNC's biatch.
