California teacher deems student's flag drawing "offensive."

They asked the teacher to explain what was offensive about it, but they got no explanation from her. The school has apologized, the teacher has yet to do so. You just wonder what the hell goes through some of these people's heads sometimes.

I thought art was supposed to be about the lines and the composition, not the object itself. So the pic of the Kenyan Jesus is beautiful and the flag is offensive? Is this truly what an art teacher is supposed to comment on? Or do we just need to cut art from the budget if it is not being taught correctly?
