Johnson picks Auburn

Coach Tony Barbee and the Auburn Tigers are now on the board in the 2012 class. During an unofficial visit to the school, Shaquille Johnson issued his verbal commitment to Barbee’s program according to AAU coach Anthony Hardnett as well as high school coach David Boyd.

"His commitment was based on his relationship," said Hardnett. "He built a relationship with Coach (Milt) Wagner and that translated over to Coach (Tony) Barbee."

Johnson is an athletic 6-foot-4 wing from Alpharetta (GA) Milton High School who runs over the summer with the Georgia Southern Kings.

The commitment is the first for the Tigers in the 2012 class.
