AUBURN, MSU and uat tied for 1st in West. Half game up on Arky and Ole Miss. LSU will miss SEC Tourney for only 2nd time since 1985. We need AUBURN and LSU to win on Saturday to clinch 1st place. MSU is the only team in the West to take a series from Auburn this year (3-0 sweep).

So what do we need to happen to win the West?

All we need is for Auburn to win, and for LSU to beat Miss. State. We hold to the tie breaker over everybody else. So, while we always want uat to lose on shear principle, we don't need them to lose to win anything. We need to win and hope for an LSU win. A uat loss is just a bonus. :)

Tennessee scored 2 in the bottom of the 9th to take the win 4-3 and the series. What an embarrassment to lose 2 of 3 to this team. Awful. Should never happen.

Sixth inning, runner on second nobody out, get bases loaded, don't score. Seventh inning, SAME THING! When you open an inning with a double, you should score. But then, you should never give up nine runs in the top of the ninth like we did against Georgia either. We sure have figured out a bunch of ways to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

AU needs to win at least 1 to be eligible for post season play.

LSU beats Miss. State, so Auburn should be the No. 7 seed and play Alabama or Arkansas in first round of SEC tourny at 9:30am CT.

If Arkansas beats Ole Miss in 2nd game of their double-header then that means Arkansas wins the West. If Arkansas wins the West then Auburn drops to the No. 8 spot correct?

This team is textbook inconsistent so who the heck knows will happen in Hoover next week, I am just confused at how Auburn who won several series against other teams loses the series against the worst team in the SEC this year. Hopefully this is a growing pain season and some of this spotty play corrects itself.

It is truly unbelievable how many time during this series and the one last week vs uat, that we had the bases loaded or runners on 2nd and 3rd and failed to score. In one instance, basically the only we we scored with bases loaded was by the uat pitcher walking in 2 runs. Our batting average lately with runners in scoring position has got to be horrible. Get the bases loaded and it falls off the table.
