Ronnie Brown signed with the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Philadelphia Eagles continue to add big names to their roster -- the latest being former Miami Dolphins running back Ronnie Brown.

Brown agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the Eagles on Tuesday.

The Eagles made the biggest splash in this frenetic free-agency period when they signed All-Pro cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha on Friday. They've also added defensive lineman Cullen Jenkins, and quarterback Vince Young to back up Michael Vick. And now they've added Brown -- a Wildcat specialist who should be a potent weapon paired with Vick.

The Giants re-signed starting running back Ahmad Bradshaw on Monday -- if they hadn't been able to come to an agreement with Bradshaw, Brown would likely have been targeted by the Giants, if he was still on the market.

Ugh. Ronnie - say it ain't so!

I know. I don't like the Eagles either.

Not to mention they have, hands down, the WORST fans in the country, in ANY sport.

That's my main reason for disliking all Philly teams. Terrible fanbase. :puke:

They're rabid fans. They're like LSU. I don't call that a terrible fanbase.

Odd that Ronnie had to resort to a one-year deal. I know he's been injured, but that's a big risk going year to year. That said, Ronnie is going to get carries. Shady McCoy only averaged 13 carries a game as a full time starter last year. There are carries to be had there.

I think its a good fit for Ronnie. One of his biggest weapons is his ability to catch the football and Andy Reid loves to throw the ball(sometimes to a fault) so his talents will fit more in Philly's offense.

From a non-contender to a conder? From one violent non-war zone city to another. Philly's pretty obnoxious all around and they truly have the worse fans in the NFL, but I like Ronnie playing for a contender.

Most everyone else equates them to bammers, not corndogs. They throw food/beverages on opponents' fans, fight, curse, and in general make it not fun to attend a game there. They have no sense of sportsmanship.

Wait. Were you describing Baton Rouge or Philly there? I can't tell the difference.

Philly fans are decidedly NOT like Bama fans. They are doom and gloomers. They never expect to actually win. Rocky Balboa has nothing to do with Bama, but he's the Philly symbol. Philly is not a championship or bust town.

I see your point here. I didn't look at it that way.
