Auburn senior forward Korvotney Barber is the only player in the

SEC who is averaging a double-double in league play and one of only 11

players in BCS conferences to average a double-double in league play

this year. He is averaging 12.6 points and 11.2 rebounds in SEC games

only.

* As of Feb. 18, 2009, Barber is one of 11 players in BCS

conferences who are averaging double-doubles in their respective

leagues.

* In all games, Barber ranks second in the SEC averaging 9.5

rebounds per game, is sixth in the league shooting 54.3 percent from the

floor, leads the SEC with 3.5 offensive rebounds per game and is 20th

averaging 12.6 points.

* Barber has eight double-doubles on the season and 16 total in his

career and has had a career-high 18 rebounds in three different games

this year vs. South Carolina, at Arkansas and at Georgia.

* He made the game-winning layup with four seconds remaining to

upset Tennessee on Feb. 7.

* Last year, he was leading the nation shooting 72.0 percent from

the field when he broke his left hand three minutes into Auburn's Dec.

29, 2007, game vs. Towson and missed the rest of last season.

Those are some pretty impressive stats.  We will miss him after this year.  It is such a shame that the NCAA didn't grant him that extra year.  Hopefully he will lead us on a little run, here, to close his Auburn career out.
