Our first stint with Farnsworth a few years ago didn't work out so well.  I hope this time is better. 

Think for a second. Chavez for Farnsy? his whip is 1.16 this season in case you didn't know. AND... AND... wasn't he our closer/8th inning guy that year? Now he's a quality 8th inning guy adding to an already deep bullpen where he'll pitch mostly in the 6th innings, especially when Lowe and Hanson pitch. This is a GREAT trade for the Braves. Blanco was hot this year but lets be realistic. Ankiel has been on fire since he got off the DL, plus have you ever seen him play defense? The people downplaying this deal really have their heads somewhere up some hind parts. First, trading Happ AND prospects for a lesser Oswalt (Happ is better, younger, and owns the NL east) is good for the Phillies, and now swapping Chavez for Farnsy is bad? This isn't directed much at you. Just wanted to get that rant out there before i lose my mind at these morons

I think the Braves did well. I like the trade myself. Sad to see Gregor Blanco go but I think we came out better than we started out.

BTW, in what freaking world do you live in where a .8 whip and 1.98 era is "not working out well." If this time is better you might as well place us in the series right now.

Perhaps you should quit kissing hind parts and read where I said that practically none of the rant was directed at him. I'd rather post that rant with you guys than get into extended arguments with morons. It's better that way

Such is the life of a diehard sports fan that likes the internet. I'd rather get my rants out in comfortable places directed at random people than get into arguments with the sources. But if someone's going to accuse somebody of something, at least read and understand what was said.

AUfisherman, if you want people to get along, try not stirring the pot. What I said was basically an FU to Philly fans trashing the deal and not to anyone here. A4E was just the scapegoat but I tried to explain it wasn't at him. Now let's all get along starting now    Need some insurance and stop wasting men on 3rd < 1 out.

Yeah it's all good. You'll have to understand that about me. I don't express my opinions much on heated subjects of mine, but when I do you'll know it. Because I kinda suck at it. The info is there but people aren't very fond of how I express it. I've seen a lot worse though, believe me. All of my real life friends are sports newbs or casual fans, and the one that's not is a gamer that sleeps all day, so they luck out. Have to let it fly from time to time.

Glaus is leaving a big hole in the lineup right now. If he got hot again we'd go back to scoring 6 a game.

I gotcha just wanted a poke a little humor at you. First inning Infante doubled. Heyward has kind of a swinging bunt and reached first when their catcher makes a horrible throw past Votto and into the outfield. Infante scores. Then we load the bases and they walk in a run. Nothing much since then

I think the Figgins thing was Wren trying to unload another bad contract like KK. Didn't put any faith in that. Figgins has shown his *** this season in the clubhouse also. Glad it didn't happen. KK may do a better job than Chavez in the long reliever role I hope.

I understand I'm kinda the same way. You shoulda seen me in 08 during football season. Im horrible about that.

Yeah I think we need to give Glaus a couple days off, but right now is not necessarily the best time to do it with Prado out and Agon still not probably feeling his best. But once Troy turns it back on it's gonna be a sight.

I see that JJ is throwing a great game

JJ has been lights out other than that homer. Whenever he, Medlen, or Hudson takes the mound I'm never worried no matter who we play. Hanson once he gets out of this funk will join the group. We've got a great rotation here
