Well, not a good night but the ladies fought back which was good to see. 4-2 aTm. After starting out 9-0-0, AU has faltered to 0-3-1 in thier last 4.

It’s just growing pains for this youth heavy roster. I’m sure they will find a way soon. They didn’t quit tonight after the two early goals and had multiple chances to tie it up 2-2 but just couldn’t get it in the net.

AU about to take on UGA in desperate need of a win. They will have to do so without Bri Folds who received a red card in the last game vs aTm for denying a goal scoring opportunity with a deliberate handball (it was her upper arm to be fair).

0-0 HT. It’s not pretty out there for either team. AU has had a couple of good chances but they were right at the keeper. They are somewhat adjusting to not having Bri but the possesssion isn’t nearly as solid without her. UGA hasn’t really threatened so a goal could do it.

Glad to see they won.  I saw the highlights, which ended after the score.  I was afraid Georgia came back and won 2-1 or something.

Ladies are in Columbia, MO to take on the 5-7-2 Missouri Tigers.

AU been the aggressor in the early going as expected but Missouri almost gets a goal on a corner but it’s waved off  on a foul as Le Beau gets shoved into the goal. She might not have saved it and the foul was mostly unnecessary.

Tables have turned a bit as Missouri has taken control of possession and had some threatening opportunities in the box.

GOAL!!  What?! A miscommunication at midfield turns in to a run for Whitaker who is surrounded by 4 Missouri defenders. She makes a turn at the top of the box and drills a ball into the left side. What an unbelievable individual effort.

Missouri has found their way into the heart of the ref and has coaxed 2 free kicks in promising positions. The first is saved by Le Beau the second is a rocket over the bar.

Ref gives a foul on a ball won by Molonson and the free kick is precariously cleared. Lots of contact in the box but nothing given and AU clears.

It falls to the other side for Missouri but they cannot corral it for a shot and it’s out for a goal kick.
