Decent pitching. Auburn could not string together hits to score runs. 7 and 8 in conference play with the next 2 series on the road. They travel to South Carolina next weekend and the Gamecocks are also 7 and 8. If they drop 2 of 3 in the next 2 series they will all of a sudden be 9 and 12 and probably in jeopardy of missing the tourney in Hoover. So, this is a huge series against South Carolina.

After Sat. 24-2, the 5-1 looks good from a pitching standpoint. We really needed to get this one, but it is what it is. Our hitting has to be more consistent. Coach Paw has made mention of this of late. We can't live and die by the HR.

Just wanted to give a shout out for how proud I am of this new coaching staff. It's nice to be in the hunt for a regional and SEC tournament spot! Here's to no Slater-esque late season fall aparts.
