Well what else can go wrong? Horrible!

We we miss the interception. Then the officials miss the face mask. Then their FG kicker sneaks one just over the crossbar right in the corner of the goalpost. What else can go wrong today? Almost scared to ask because everything that can go wrong has gone wrong today!

We needed Charles Kelley a couple of weeks ago. One of the worst prepared Auburn defenses I have ever seen. Can’t tackle, can’t cover, can’t get off blocks, can’t do anything right. And the offense ain’t helping.

Never seen an Auburn defense this poorly prepared. Not since the Johnny Football anyway.

I was at that game. I thought somebody was going to drown.

A win.

I wonder why those announcers spent most of the day talking about the great players USC has while Auburn was beating the crap out of them?

Hugh needs to make Craig an offer ASAP and bring him in as a recruiter. He is one of the best we have ever had at that and he would own the Mobile area.

I know why. I heard he had some trouble with his back and his doctor told him don’t lift nothing heavy. Either that or he couldn’t find it.

What was so disheartening to me was the total lack of enthusiasm. It was almost like they didn’t want to be there. Just going through the motions, especially the O line. Where was the leadership?

As good as things looked last week this was the opposite end of the spectrum. The O line looked like they didn’t know who to block. The secondary couldn’t cover anybody. The D line couldn’t get off blocks. It’s a sad day when New Mexico State manhandles Auburn in the trenches but that’s what happened. They dominated the line of scrimmage, dominated the times of possession and made all the right moves at the right time. The fake punt was the end of the game.

Pitiful.

Out coached. Outplayed. Out everythinged.

So they followed up a great game last week with the most horrendous defeat in Auburn football history. Beat on both sides of the ball. Couldn’t block, couldn’t tackle, couldn’t do anything right. Awful. Just awful.

Win the game and no injuries.

I want to be a Fairweather fan but the dude is dropping too many balls and is getting too many stupid penalties negating big plays.

Just win the game. Beat Vandy this week and Arky next week. NM should be easy. That puts us in a decent bowl (not Birmingham) regardless. Get through these 3 then get ready for grand finale at home with a lit crowd.

I really didn’t have any illusions that we would beat UGA, LSU or OM. I thought OM was likely the one we might have a chance in. Instead it was UGA. I was encouraged after the UGA game disappointed after the next two. It is what it is. These next four are all very winnable.

There ain’t no moral victories in Auburn but I’m very proud of the guys and the effort they gave today. If they play like that the rest of the year they will have a chance to win the rest of them.

Oh I agree the goal long term is a balanced offense. Right now they need something to hang their hat on and it’s not the passing game because there are too many deficiencies. Establish the run and that will hopefully open the passing game. Right now they haven’t proven anything to anyone except that they can blow out patsies as long as it’s at home.

That’s not just probation it’s that double secret probation like they had in Animal House (except it’s not a secret). I don’t see how you could even intentionally set out to screw it up that bad and make it happen. It’s something closer to sabotage.
