  1. Yes, we all should secede and take our tax dollars with us.
  2. Putting aside all the what ifs from the game last night, it was an exciting and entertaining game. I spoke with a 71 year old UA friend who has gone to almost all the BB games at Coleman and he said last night was the loudest crowd he could remember. Watching the game on TV, the AU contingent was vocal. Can someone estimate the size of the AU fanbase at the game? My friend was highly complimentary of the AU team and does not believe UA will win at AU. I'm confident he will be proven correct.
  3. If so, then glad it is over so we can appreciate the outstanding receivers who want to be at AU. WDE!
  4. I saw that the CBS poll had us at #7 and another poll had us at #9 in their BB rankings yesterday.
  5. Read the meet with UF was a sellout out. UF coaches and team were highly complimentary of the AU crowd and atmosphere. Well done.
  6. Yes, seven inches of snow this week in Baltimore requiring multiple hours of shoveling. Maybe why some of the Northern states have longer life expectancy staying in shape from shoveling, at least for the ones that don't die immediately after doing the shoveling.
  7. I did not see this posted elsewhere, but Tom Bryan died earlier this month. He and Danny Fulford, a tight end at AU in the early to mid 60's, played together at Geneva Co. High in Hartford, AL.
  8. Tom Bryan was a QB at AU. Was that the bowl game against Archie Manning and Ole Miss?
  9. When was the last time we had a 5* OLman? Was Greg Robinson a 5*? If not then who and when?
  10. Apparently UA could not get Perry the Charger color he wanted and AU could. Well done!
  11. The back to back calls of the Prayer at Jordan Hare and Kick Six in 2013 by Verne and Gary are likely the most memorable of their careers and mine as a listener. Along with the Auburn radio broadcasts of the same, these are classics. They will likely never be replicated, at least for me. Great memories!
  12. Perhaps this was our "New Mexico State" game before we play Indiana and begin the SEC schedule. It is not surprising for a young AU team to look past an App St team on a Sunday afternoon for an away game in Boone NC. I'm not sure how you even get there from Auburn.
  13. When was the last time the fans of an opposing home team stormed the court to celebrate a victory over AU? Maybe Arkansas when we were ranked #1? I guess we have made the "Big Time" in basketball even if we don't play that way.
  14. Reportedly Cadillac doing due diligence in attendance at Elba v Leroy game last night.
  15. Brother Oliver whenever he ran the 11-man defensive front. Bold!
  16. Joey looked good as a tight end for Louisville vs Miami. He was just playing the wrong position at AU. Announcers commented there was NFL interest in him as a tight end. Who knew he was still playing?
  17. I can assure you that no AU fans suffer more than those of us who live in Tuscaloosa after a loss to UA. Just wondering if my screen name were SylacaugaTiger if you would have accused me of being a Bammer?
  18. I'm disappointed that we lost tonight, but in hindsight did we realistically have any players who would have started for UA? If so, then who?
  19. It seems clear we prepped for UA rather than NMst and managed to lose both games is memorable fashion. Both games will long be remembered in AU lore.
  20. Did we prep for UA rather than NWST? If so then we lost both games for lack of execution and coaching . Would have been better to have at least won one of these games. Sad.
  21. Gunnar follows the Oriole's last Rookie of the Year award winner, Greg Olson, who won the award in 1989. He was a former AU Tiger and Hall of Fame relief pitcher. Olson's son rooms (or roomed) on the road with Gunnar's older brother on the AU baseball team. Small world.
  22. What was the rebounding difference in the second half? It seemed to me that BU got more than their fair share of rebounds, especially on their offensive end. Anyone have these numbers for us and them? This seemed to me a major factor in our loss. They hit the boards and had multiple second and third chances in the second half.
  23. Tucker also played safety and returned punts. A 3-way guy.
