Are there more powerful wireless cards then others? I went to a Best Buy and got a wireless card that UGA said was a good one and its nice but I wish I could get a better card connection wise.

Is there a super-powerful one that I could buy?

What you want to look for is the antenna, that will be affect your card's range the most. Look for one that has an antenna with a nice length cable on it, not one stuck right to the card. This isn't as big of an issue with laptops, but if you can find one for your laptop like this it will be what you want. (You can then buy new antenna's with better Gain (picks up signal better) and longer cables.) This is VERY inportant on the desktop since it's likely your antenna will be wedged in a tight space.

Most desktop cards allow your to change out the antenna as well, but at times it can be difficult to locate antennas.
