Is New York in play?

You know, Shrillery has been awful quiet lately. She said a while back that she would be actively campaigning for Lurch, and I don't believe this silence has a thing at all to do with Billy Boy's heart surgery.

...released today shows Kerry up 49-44, down from a 19 point lead in August and far off Gore's 25 point margin of victory in 2000. We'll see how long this holds up.

Well, on the flip side, Rasmussen has Bush up by one in CO and six in SC.

Yeah, both of those states are closer than in the past too. But NY was a 25 point win for the Dems in 2000. By contrast, Colorado was a 9 point win and SC a 16 point win in 2000 for Bush.

I'm just surprised, that's all. New Jersey has tightened up as well. Kerry has a 5 point lead there in a state Gore carried by 16 in 2000.

One huge difference is that compared to Mr. Kerry, VP Al Gore was credible and had a boat load of integrity. :D

These polls are hard to get a good read on. New one out today has Kerry up 55-39 in NY:
