Amazing, isn't it, how some coaches continually say it wasn't them when it follows them everywhere they go? Three teams under his watch get in trouble yet he had nothing to do with it at any of the three places.

IKR. His argument is like a guy who fails a drug test. He acts surprised by the result and says he never smoked the herb. "You didn't see me smoking so you can't prove that I inhaled." "I just happened to be in the room with the guys who were smoking and got a contact high."    " I know nothing about those other failed tests. You must be mistaken."

And yet, there are still some AU folks who feel that AU was wrong to have let Ellis go. What will happen is that Coastal Carolina will get some kind of penalty and Ellis will ride off into the sunset.

There comes a point where the school carries just as much of the blame as the coach for these issues. What motivation do coaches have to stay clean if winning at any cost will almost gurantee them future employment at one school or another?

If only Coastal Carolina had come to talk to us before they hired Ellis. We could have saved them from the NCAA. Oh well, some teams just have learn their lesson the hard way.
