Or are we dedicated to owning the line of scrimmage (on both sides) for the next 3-4 years at least?! Personally I like the approach our coaches seem to be taking. I don't believe that DLs can wear a single digit number. I think there are guidelines about numbering according to position. Didn't a DL for South Crackalacky wear #6 last season? Liner is a tweener right now (albeit an incredible one) and Lawson/Bowers are both DEs all the way. The only question I have, and I don't have the answer to, is whether Dee Liner has "bought in" to the DT concept. Any info from you guys in that regard? If he has really bought in, I think that opens up the possibility of adding D. Walker as a SDE since both Bower and Lawson project as WDEs. Like was said though, the coaches know about where we stand with him. But if his interest drops they would go ahead and take another. And then still take him if they were wrong in their reading. They can change the game. The truest thing you'll ever hear about football is that championships are won on the OL/DL. Look at EVERY MNC the past 10 years and you'll see studs on both lines.
