I know Bowers is a DE - but with rumor of Liner moving to DT - will this affect Adams recruitment? Or are we dedicated to owning the line of scrimmage (on both sides) for the next 3-4 years at least?! Personally I like the approach our coaches seem to be taking. Granted - I really dont see us turning this kid down.

Anyone know if CGC has ever reserved a  jersey number for a certain recruit before? Wondering since MA wants #7.

I don't believe that DLs can wear a single digit number. I think there are guidelines about numbering according to position.

Didn't a DL for South Crackalacky wear #6 last season?

Montravious Adams would be the only TRUE Def Tackle in this class. Liner is a tweener right now (albeit an incredible one) and Lawson/Bowers are both DEs all the way.

The only question I have, and I don't have the answer to, is whether Dee Liner has "bought in" to the DT concept.  Any info from you guys in that regard?  If he has really bought in, I think that opens up the possibility of adding D. Walker as a SDE since both Bower and Lawson project as WDEs.

I love this DL class. Combine this with the OL class from last year and we should be able to dominate the front line.

The only question I have is since we only have about 8 or 9 spots left, would we take a commitment from Adams, Walker, and Bellamy if they all wanted to commit? And as of today - what are the odds that we get these players?

I know we would take Adams, Walker probably, Bellamy - probably not, and definitely not Walker and Bellamy.

I would like to see adams, an rb (any that have been mentioned), another wr (Jones), a guard (KR), foster, matthews ---- that would complete my dream list for this class

I don't know, I would think one more DL and M. Adams has it if he wants it. If he waits too long the coaches might go ahead and take another. What a great problem to have.

But yes, our O&D lines are going to be (and stay) loaded and sick with talent. I absolutely love the job Coach Chizik and his staff are doing. Should be real fun for awhile. War Eagle!!!!

Monty has an open offer as long as the coaches feel they are in a good position with him.

there isn't a scenario in the world where Montravious Adams couldn't commit to Auburn anytime he wanted to.

That's what I was getting at. As long as they feel good about him. How about other DL? I started thinking of the elite prospects with us high on their list and may have been wrong about only taking one more. Who to take?? Such a great problem. What's your thoughts ellitor? How many would we take?

Yeah, you're right. Like was said though, the coaches know about where we stand with him. But if his interest drops they would go ahead and take another. And then still take him if they were wrong in their reading. But yeah, this is going to be a sick line.

Come on down Montravius!! War Eagle!!!!

Under the BVG system, there wont be any SDEs and WDEs this year so they are going to have to be able to play DE whether or not they have a TE on their side.

Well it all depends on the numbers and I am not connected enough to know the number sitch. But if there is room i can see Auburn signing 5 if 4 and 5 are Monty and D. Walker

Adding Walker and Adams would put it close to the one UF had a few years ago, not sure if it would top it ranking wise.

Does anyone know if CBVG uses or has used any pass rush specialists in the past?

Best D line class since Pat Dye was coach, that is for sure. I love signing the elite big uglies. They can change the game.

The truest thing you'll ever hear about football is that championships are won on the OL/DL. Look at EVERY MNC the past 10 years and you'll see studs on both lines. Look at AU's in '10.

8 deep on the DL, tons of experience

4 three-four yr starters on the OL and a future NFL pick in Mosley.
