After an easy 1st weekend, the softball team took on tougher competition this weekend in the SEC/ACC/Big 12 Challenge.

On Friday, they run-ruled #15 Oklahoma State 8-0 in 5 innings. Lauren Guzman, Elizabeth Eisterhold and Caitlin Jordan all had home runs and Lauren Schmalz threw a complete game shutout for the win.

On Sunday, Angel Bunner threw her 1st career no-hitter as Auburn beat Virginia Tech 1-0.

In the final game of the weekend the Tigers took on #20 Georgia Tech. Despite giving up a couple of home runs, the Tigers answered with 3 of their own from Morgan Estell, Branndi Melero and Brooke Lathan plus 3 RBI from Baylee Stephens to take out the Jackets 12-5.

With a 3-0 record and only 5 runs allowed, the Tigers took the tournament championship!

Great job ladies!
