should America split up

Are y'all accepting refugees? I've been forced from my home in the heart of Alabama for not being conservative enough.

It was assumed that you would enter the country as a leader, not as a political refugee.

You are slated for a very high level position within the new government. Unfortunately, I have very limited authority. Madame President will have to discuss the Vice Presidency your duties with you personally.

I'm flattered. I'll try to be more "Uncle Joe" than "Darth Cheney."

I would be interested in citizenship in the new USA. I'll be glad to work in the panhandle as a deputy director of recreational fishing enforcement.

West Florida, the panhandle will stay with the conservative states. East Florida will become part of Nova Scotia or whatever province Canada decides on. Oh, East Florida, say hello to a new province income tax and VAT tax of about 15%

Okay, I'm in as long as the moderates get Florida. Can we change the name to: United State of America (we still love you former Americans even though you're insane) or, United State of America (vacation here but, leave your politics at home).

The Canadians want Florida, they are already living there in the Winter. They have even talked about annexing Turks and Caicos Islands and Bermuda. They just want somewhere warm!!!

I don't think we moderates are asking for that much, just one state, all of the offshore oil, all of the military bases currently located there. If we have to fight,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, bring it on Canada! Besides, the Canadians will have to violate the Conservative States of America's airspace in order to attack us. The CSA will never allow that.

Since I'm already a FL state resident, count me in as a new member of the Florida Navy. Someone needs to interdict all of the CSA immigrants trying to come ashore.

Sir, you are the Secretary of the United State of America Navy! It is a monumental task. However, we have very strategically located Naval Air Stations for defense. I am afraid we are going to be challenged when it comes to aircraft carriers and submarines.

Hooya! We are going for littoral defense. Carriers cost to much. Takes away from the national beer fund.

I love this Secretary of the Navy. Wait a minute, I thought in the Navy, we called it grog?

Aye!

I have a LOT of confidence in cabinet member who understands how important Spring Break is to our fledgling economy. Keep em safe but, keep em spending.

Do you think we will have a issue with CSA youth wishing to defect during Spring Break? or will the CSA even allow Spring Break?

When they run out of money, they have to go home.

I thought you conservatives were supposed to be the "real" patriots while we liberals were "borderline traitors"? :-\

Now you talk about destroying the United States if you can't have things your way, or exiling/punishing anyone (i.e., liberals) that doesn't agree with your particular political view? Of course you have the right to say such things, that's what makes our country great. But it doesn't seem like a very "American" way to view democracy, political diversity, or tolerance to me. JMHO.

Who's punishing anyone.

I inferred that the three different posts suggesting liberals should be sent to Canada/Mexico, liberals should be forced to live next to a Muslim, or Liberals should be forced to live next to illegals implied that those things were meant as punishments or negative actions against liberals because of their political views. Although in the latter two cases, I would argue whether they are really negatives: I judge* my neighbors on how they behave and act toward me and others, not where they are from, how they got here, or what religion they follow. I see no reason to assume that all Muslims or illegals would automatically be bad neighbors.

(*I'm also uncomfortable using the phrase "I judge" because I try not to do so, but cannot think of better wording right now. And before someone challenges me that I am judging conservatives...I am expressing a difference of opinions on political topics, but I am not judging any poster here. I assume that all of you are fine human beings unless and until you demonstrate otherwise, and we merely disagree on ideas. There is nothing wrong with disagreeing and I respect anyone's right to do so. And as others have said, we're all Auburn men and women, which remains the most important thing on AUFamily forums!)

Though first thing I would do is open a porn/strip club/marijuana store right at the Republican border. That would be bank.

I like the way you think!

Can I buy stock in your business? :hellyeah:

Nope, just explaining what life in Canada will be like for East Florida,

I think it is something to discuss. The country hasn't been this divided since the Civil War. Under the current circumstances, I'd vote for it. The problem with this is the liberal side would quickly collapse under the burden of freebies and the lazy and ignorant. To support this, I offer Detroit, California and Illinois as examples of liberal destruction.

Says the voice of reason..... thus proving either an inability to think or at least, reluctance to think before posting.

Nice counterpoint.

You expect a serious counterpoint to a proposal to split the country into independent "liberal" and "conservative" states?

Yeah, that really merits discussion.

No, not from you.

This is a reason to have an independence vote...get the power out of the center and back where it belongs:

http://online.wsj.com/articles/cameron-to-increase-u-k-devolution-1411109710?mod=WSJ_myyahoo_module

LONDON—Prime Minister David Cameron on Friday pledged to honor his commitment to give more powers to Scotland after voters chose to stay in the U.K., but in a surprise move, the British leader also endorsed greater autonomy for England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

This was a big discussion after the 2004 election about dark blue states joining Canada.

6607535af4d46d9a22229df6bb9a2d46.jpg

What the above map ignores is that they are several conservative Canadian western provinces that might want out of a new Canada that included several big liberal US states.

And then there is the Quebec problem.for the last 300 years. Quebec sometimes makes noises about separating from the Canadian confederation. In the past that has cause western provinces to make comments about joining the US.

You realize, . . . that if this happens, . . . . UAT will have grounds to claim 17 more retroactive national titles, right? Because Alabama.

Apologies for injecting football into politics. . . .
