Im 24 and yes i can fully appreciate Jamie Lee in True Lies.

And since trading places is one of my all time favorite movies...i know where you're coming from on that.

I bought Ray tonight. Watched it for the first time. Really solid movie. Jamie Fox is quite the actor. I'll bet nobody here saw one of his lesser known movies...Bait. Good movie. He did a good job in collateral too.

I watched Ray last night, Collateral last weekend. He was good in Collateral and phenomenal in Ray. He had him down cold. I hope he wins the Oscar.

All great movies you guys have mentioned but come on where is the greatest college movie ever made, thats right ANIMAL HOUSE! Come on almost every scene was an instant classic and the sound track was good..."Louie Louie...oh no" B) , and I'm a youngin (19) and I have that movie in my collection.

Other movies that I like are:

The Patriot-Mel rules

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon-My friends don't like it cause they hate to read

Patriot Games & Clear and Present Danger- Ford kicks some tail working for the gov't, wonder if he is running in 08?

Star Wars & Lord of the Rings- two triologys, two masterpieces

Old Yeller-great movie for kids, makes me tear up still, jk

Any Pixar movie

I like Indie movies, I have IFC back home but I can't think of one off the top of my head.

The Outlaw Josey Wells

The Flim Flam Man ("You can’t cheat an honest man.")

Yeah. I forgot Josey Wales.

Josey: "You a bounty hunter?"

Bounty hunter: "Man's gotta make a livin."

Josey: "Dying ain't much of a living, boy."

BANG!

I don't know about great, but every time it comes on TV, I get caught watching it:

A League of Their Own.

a lot of folks like the patriot... i'm indifferent toward it. guess that's just me.

i like the 30 listed. i can't believe i left off scarface. add dog day afternoon to that list. that movie's intense.

i saw hotel rwanda last night. i really, really liked it. it's a total downer, but it's a fantastic movie. i just can't get over how little we know/are taught about this. it's like a mini-holocaust. don cheadle is one of my personal favorites. i saw him on broadway in topdog/underdog as well. great actor.

What about the animation movie "Heavy Metal" from around 1980? That was one of my favorite movies as a teenager.

Or the documentary "Decline of Western Civilization"? It was about the 1980 Punk scene in LA, it feature interviews with Black Flag, Fear X and the Germs. It's really interesting if you can get your hands on a copy.

i like cheadle too. I did think that his role in oceans11 was horrible. It just didn't work for me. Overdone to the extreme.

did you just see them? if so, glad you liked them. if not, glad you agree.

although i'm a younger guy, i think every jimmy stewart movie, ever, is brilliant. bogart is great, and if you're in my age group (i'm 22) and you've never seen casablanca, go watch it. it's a great movie, but the best part is hearing like every catch phrase your parents ever uttered and realizing they all came from the same movie. seriously, like every line of the film is famous in some way.

i assume the jamie lee curtis fans are well above my age. i remember thinking... gross she's my mom's age. i'm old enough now to respect the beauty, but i never really get that thought out of my head.

i also agree with the comment about princess bride. i must've seen that 20 times in my life, and i remember thinking fred savage was the coooooolest. plus he got to kiss winnie (sp?). my hero.

See Jamie Lee in Trading Places, long before she was your mom's age.

Amen on that one brother. She was tough in true lies (a movie which totally sucked, imo). She was naked in trading places, and had a pair of hooters that was nothing short of perfect.

i know some folks are allergic to leo decaprio, but if you're one of the lucky few who aren't, he was phenominal in the aviator. i caught that last night, and i didn't even notice being in the theater 3 hours. it was great.
