After our mother passed in April we decided that we would not be a family that drifts apart so we plan on taking vacations together a couple of times a year.

Couldn't think of a better or more joyous way to honor your mother's legacy. Glad you guys had such a good trip.

Maybe some o'y'all been worrying for no good reason?  :jump:

Laugh...I have never.  But I used to dumpster-dive for aluminum cans to recycle at...what was the name of it...The Casino!  ("Thanks, Dad.")

Mom and baby moose eating their dinner at our campsite.       We didn't get out and try to get better pictures.  Pics taken through the window of the camper.

Camping at Brainard Lake Recreation Area about 30 - 35 miles out from Estes Park.

Here are two of the males we saw while hiking.

There isn't an emoticon for this. WOW! Beautiful. John Denver said it best with Rocky Mountain High.

To look at that every morning would get me fired within a week because I'd never want to go to work.

Spent many summers as a kid in the Rockies.  Miss it greatly.

Hell of a vacation you're having. Thanks for continuing to share the pics. I've been doing a lot of vicarious traveling lately.

Saw the comet last night finally.

I’ve got a work buddy that’s doing a cross country camping trip with his family right now. They are yerting it up somewhere around Grand Teton NP tonight. I’m super jelly.

That makes two of us.

We just booked 4 nights at a cabin in NC in October and I'm exceedingly geeked just for that.

Dude. Our NC trip this year was awesome. 6 nights in a cabin at around 2500’. Five days we never saw 70 degrees...

I've got a buddy from Columbia, SC who is currently in the same area we'll be near Hendersonville, and he says it's 26 degrees cooler than it is at home. To answer your question, yes, I'm second-guessing the decision to wait until October to go...

Took a few pics looking around Frankfort and Georgetown KY today.  I just moved to Frankfort for family and work. Have to say, beautiful place up here.  Now if only the Louisiana weather would not have followed me here lol.

Agree.  Must have been jailbait since the college was founded in 1829. 😉

Those make me think about all the New England and New York transplants in my current and last town. I know you've got them, too. All they do is talk about how awesome things back home were, but when you suggest they go back, they say hell no, the weather's miserable.
