I will ask again....

What is the solution? More gun laws? Outright ban on owning firearms? Limit to special circumstances only to own?

Anything except a war on the criminal elements that have weapons.

You have to pretend to be protecting the constitution in order to destroy the constitution.  Violence in the streets is key to authoritarian takeover.
