Penta retired after 5 innings, Shelby Lowe came in and struck out the side in the 6th.  Still 5-0, each team has 3 hits.

My goodness.  Our pitching has been lights out all day. With 3 pitchers.

Good thing since offense is a bit of the same story as last year at this point. Way early but thought we'd see something more today.

Godwin with a 2-out slammer to end the game.  The bases were loaded via 2 walks and a hit batter.  We benefited from 10 walks in this game.  I like hits, but it's better to take a ball than swing at it.  It worked today for a 9-0 win.

Pitching is fabulous so far.  I think Peralta had 2 hits in the 2d game, Garcia 1, and Godwin the big one.

We should be beating these teams and handily. Let's see how we do against better competition as these are weak teams... glad to see Lowe throwing too.
