Someone had the stats of this not long ago, we were one game behind tenn, after their loss are we now #1 or tied for #1?

182053[/snapback]

We are now tied with UGA, UT and UF at something like 30-11. I would find it but I am too tired and/or lazy. Look back in the first three pages of the football forum and it should be there.

Ok, I had a burst of energy. Here are the updated stats:

School W-L

Tennessee 30-11

Auburn 30-11

Georgia 30-11

Florida 30-11

LSU 28-12

Ole Miss 21-20

Arkansas 19-22

South Carolina 19-23

Alabama 19-22

Mississippi State 9-32

Kentucky 6-34

Vanderbilt 5-37

I assume this is just SEC records, including SEC championship games?

If so, I count records of 30-12 for both LSU and Auburn before the start of the year.

Team          2000          2001          2002          2003          2004          Total
Florida        8-1           6-2           6-2           6-2           4-4          30-11
LSU            5-3           6-3           5-3           8-1           6-2          30-12
Auburn         6-3           5-3           5-3           5-3           9-0          30-12
UGA            5-3           5-3           8-1           6-3           6-2          30-12
UT             5-3           7-2           5-3           6-2           7-2          30-12

That would put Florida in first, with a record of 31-11, then Auburn and UGA at 31-12, then LSU, having yet to play an SEC game in 2005, at 30-12, then Tennessee at 30-13. Its interesting to note that in the 5 years of this decade already in the books, each division has sent 2 teams to the SEC Championship game twice, and one other team once. LSU and Auburn have both been twice, Arkansas once. UGA and UT have both been twice, Florida once. Its a stark contrast to the 90s, when 5 of those 8 championship games included Alabama and Florida. Tennessee was the only other team from the east to make the championship game, going twice. The west sent Auburn, Arkansas, and MSU once each.

Don't know where the original numbers came from, Bengal. I copied off an old thread. There were not by Stat Tiger, so I cannot vouch for their accuracy.
